Our programs are structured to accommodate a range of family circumstances and needs. We provide a continuum of service that gives children both a seamless transition from day care to school and a love of learning that will benefit them throughout their lives.

Daily programs are divided into various learning areas. Each child’s social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs are met through stimulating, challenging and fun activities. The daily program is posted in each room and available to parents.

DHCCC's programming includes:

  • Creative arts and crafts
  • Dramatic Play
  • Table Toys and Manipulative Play
  • Science
  • Music
  • Quiet Corner
  • Sensory Activities
  • Active Play
  • Learning Circle
  • Quiet Time/Sleep Time

Field Trips: From time to time, we organize opportunities for the children to visit places or attend events that let them experience at first hand the things they have discussed in the classroom. Parent volunteers are welcome to accompany these trips and assist the teachers to make sure all the children benefit safely from the experience.

Food: Dublin Heights provides children with a hot lunch and two nutritious snacks daily. Menu plans will be posted on the main bulletin board for parents to view. We do not serve food prepared with either pork or nuts. If your child has any allergies or is on a special diet, please let the Supervisor know so that we can make suitable arrangements. Because of allergy concerns, we ask that children do not bring food, snacks or beverages (other than water) from home. However, in some circumstances, parents may be required to provide special-diet meals.

Special Occasions: Our neighbourhood is rich in diversity, and we embrace this by celebrating a wide range of national and religious/cultural holidays. Children are encouraged to value their own heritage, and to learn about and respect the heritage of others.
